The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
